D&T Expo Day 2 – Students visiting the event

The second day of the D&T Expo (23rd April) was open for schools to bring along their students.  Around 300 students from different schools around Malta and Gozo attended for the event.  The floor was divided into three main areas: an area exhibiting D&T students work, an area for hands-on activities and the remaining areas for demonstrations by the DTLC and other entities from the MRO event.

During this very busy day, students from the 24 participating schools not only helped to make their stand look at its best, but also explained to other visitors their own projects. Immediately after their first look around, students were enrolled in different challenges and started working, designing and creating things together.

The teachers and technicians on the Expo floor helped all groups to achieve their designs and to control their enthusiasm which  truly equated to very well behaved students throughout the event. Stalls with robotic activities introduced D&T students to the possibilities of robotics and demonstrated how this technology is complimentary with D&T in many ways. The following images testify the students’ engagement and the overall success of the event.
